About Us

With six Thwaites Inns of Character within the portfolio and still growing, our vision is to offer a collection of Inns which are all unique in their own right, but with a shared enthusiasm to offer great local food, with the warmest of welcomes and a comfortable stay.

Each Inn has been carefully chosen because of its location within the heart of local communities or its setting in and amongst some of the most spectacular countryside in the Yorkshire Dales, Lancashire and the breathtaking Lake District.

Each Inn prides itself on never standing on ceremony. It’s about good honest home cooked food which is simple, but beautifully executed. All of the ingredients are seasonal and sourced from local suppliers who have all been handpicked. And, as you would expect from a Thwaites Inn, you can choose from an enviable selection of real ales, including seasonal specialities and our own Signature Range.

Bedrooms are individually decorated and full of character, with all the facilities you need to make your escape from the hustle and bustle so much more relaxing. And if comfy beds, bags of fresh air and fantastic walking trails don’t send you easily off to the land of nod, the aroma of our hearty English breakfasts cooking below you will in no doubt rouse you from your slumber.
